I love gold and blue eyeshadow paired together and this color brings a golden blue to eyes with a pretty shifting effect. It’s a stormy blue gray in the pot with a golden iridescence with a faint metallic finish that reflects blue, purple, and even gold on lids. This a duochrome shade so it does have some very beautiful color shifting. It gets brought back to us in the form of the newly named Shimmering Sea Color Tattoo Eyeshadow that’s available with the Maybelline Bleached Neons Summer 2014 Collection. Maybelline launched two brand new Summer 2014 Color Tattoo Eyeshadows that are available for a limited time but what they failed to tell you is these shades are simply repromoted colors under a new name. Maybelline Chocolate Suede Color Tattoo Eyeshadow is definitely a gorgeous and unique shade for Fall.Yes, the new Maybelline Shimmering Sea Color Tattoo Eyeshadow is in fact Maybelline Seashore Frosts Color Tattoo Eyeshadow under a new name. The color is quite creamy with a soft, even finish on lids that sets on my drier eyes to a satin finish that doesn’t fade or crease for about six hours (into hour seven I saw creasing right across my lid). I noticed that many of the shades in this new collection actually have the same smoky blend out. I just was hoping the shade would be a bit more intense. Sad sigh! This swatches very pigmented and chocolatey but as you blend it I notice it sheers out to a more lighter smokier shade. I wish, I wish the shade in the pot translated on my eyes as beautifully as it looks but it actually sheers out and applies more smoky brown so I’m not getting the intense golden chocolate I see in the jar.
